What jewelry to offer during piercing?

Ergo Piercing

Ergo Piercing - Fournisseur français de matériel professionnel pour pierceurs. Kits stériles, aiguilles de qualité et contenu éducatif pour les professionnels du piercing.

For a long time, the practice was to fit a simple little titanium ball. This jewelry, often called a "prosthesis," served solely as a healing support and was clearly distinct from the final jewelry the client would wear later.

But times have changed.

Today, piercers can directly fit beautiful worked titanium jewelry, adorned with zircons, in various shapes and aesthetic designs. Result: the client leaves from day one with quality jewelry that is safe and already aesthetic.

What jewelry to offer during piercing?

Current challenges

Many piercers still hesitate to take the leap, because it involves:
tying up cash to have a proper range in stock,
managing two types of stock: visible (displayed jewelry, pre-sterilized) and non-visible (jewelry to be sterilized on demand),
and, in the case of "minute-sterilized" jewelry, being equipped with rapid autoclaves, which is not always the case.

Our recommendation: structure your offering

1. Always include a basic jewelry piece

Every service should include at minimum a simple titanium ball on labret, available in several sizes. This is the entry-level price, competitive and reassuring for the client.

2. Offer a mid-range selection

Add a selection of worked titanium jewelry (stones, zircons, shapes) between 15 and 40 euros.
Tip: apply a discount if the client gets pierced (e.g. minus 10 euros on the chosen jewelry). This encourages upselling without being pushy.

3. Invest in gold

Finally, offer a gold range, with the piercing included.
Gold starts around 100 euros, and can easily sell up to 200 euros.
Above 300 euros, it becomes rarer but remains possible depending on your clientele.
This is an excellent revenue lever and a symbol of quality for your salon.

The right positioning

Do not try to "force" the client: display your different ranges clearly and let them choose.
Those who want gold or worked titanium will show it themselves.
Those who want to stick with a basic option will already find what they need in the jewelry included with the service.

A good visual client journey (displays, showcases, clear organization) is enough to naturally guide choices.

Conclusion

At Ergo Piercing, we believe that modern piercing must evolve with client expectations:
always include a basic titanium jewelry piece,
offer a mid-range in worked titanium,
and open the door to gold, which attracts a clientele seeking aesthetics and value.

Titanium is no longer just a healing ball: it has become a full-fledged jewelry piece, safe, beautiful and lasting.

Professional Ear Piercing Kit: the complete guide (techniques, marking, jewelry sizes & client instructions)

Ear piercing is one of the most common procedures... but also one of the most delicate. Hair getting in the way, poorly vascularized cartilage (slow healing and hard-to-treat infections), choosing the right jewelry length and educating the client: all parameters that make the ear a "trap" zone for the piercer.
